Nailla Robinson, Girl Abducted From Philadelphia Classroom, Found Abandoned In Park

A 5-year-old taken from her classroom yesterday by a woman posing as her mother was found safe on Tuesday in a park outside Philadelphia, WCAU reports.

A man walking down the street around 4:40 a.m. heard cries for help and found Nailla Robinson underneath a jungle gym clad only in a t-shirt, according to Upper Darby police Superintendent Michael Chitwood. Robinson was cold and scared, but unharmed, police told WCAU.

Authorities took her to a children's hospital for evaluation where she was reunited with her mother, WPVI reported.

State police issued an Amber Alert for Robinson, saying that a woman "wearing black Muslim-style clothing" removed her from her school around 8:50 a.m. on Monday.

Surveillance footage shows the girl walking through hallways with the unknown woman, who has not been found.

Robinson had been dropped off for kindergarten only five minutes earlier, her mother Latifah Rashid told WPVI.

"[The suspect] told her teacher that she was me, her mother, and that she was taking her out to breakfast and Nailla was already signed out at the office and she took my child and left," Rashid said.

Officials at Bryant Elementary, discovered Robinson was missing at 3 p.m. when her daycare provider arrived to pick her up.

Nailla told police that she was blindfolded and walked several blocks to a house, according to ABC News. Later, a teenage girl took her to the park.
