60s Fashion Suitable For A Trip To The Moon, Or Just, You Know, Hanging Out (VIDEO)

"What comes around goes around" is the truth, especially when it comes to fashion. We all know that style trends are cyclical, and never was that more clear than in this 1967 video. The narrator jokingly refers to "futuristic space-age fashions suitable for ladies in 2000," all set to "Bewitched"-like music.

The models, wearing teased updos reminiscent of Twiggy and short A-line skirts, remind us of Marc Jacobs' spring 2013 collection, as well as his recent show for Louis Vuitton. To wit: Both shows returned to the mod roots of the 1960s with stripes, lingerie-baring sheer clothes and Mondrian blocking. The video closes with the models stepping into a spaceship for their weekend trip to the moon. If only!
