Webmaster Sites, Blogs, Forums, Directories + Hr Related

Would listen to offers on a couple of old sites which i havent touched in over a year, assume no revenue and traffic to be minimal between 0 - 50 uniques a day.

http://www.sitereviver.com/market/ - Had a premium fiverr style marketplace installed and confirgured for design related "gigs" , never promoted it so its never been seen really.

netcashcows.co.uk/ - unique design, unqiue content, great domain.
netcashcows.co.uk/forum/ design integrated and totally unique, never promoted forum around 100 paid posts at the start of the year all of good quality.

http://www.digble.com/ - unique design, old script which was edited and secured. Not the best script but it works and it was only put together until it got semi active and then investment into a custom script would have been granted, valuable 6 letter.com domain.

Are directories still relevant

I am new in SEO, i read somewhere that you should submit your site to web directories but I read elsewhere that directories are not important any more that some people are even asking directories to remove their listings.
I am about to add the site I am promoting to a few directories I found in this forum, what do you guys think? Go for good quality paid directories or forget about directory submission completely?
