How do I promote a new blog?

To promote my blog, I generally advertise on a variety of promotion forums in addition to having links to my blog both in my signature (if permitted) and in the website field that can be found on most profiles. I also use social media to promote my blog and my latest posts (Facebook, Twitter and G+ being my primary social media outlets).

In addition to that, I've also joined a variety of blogging communities and recently went to my first blogging event where I was able to do a lot of networking. One thing to keep in mind is that you should post consistently when you do begin to get readers and even before that. People like to know that you aren't just going to dropped of the face of the Earth at any moment and most people seem to like schedules.

Hope that helps!

How do I promote a new website?

Hi,

There are many many ways to promote your website. Some of it depends on what kind of website you have.

1.) Use social sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, StumbleUpon, and YouTube. Just make sure you have great content.

2.) Find forums that are related to your site. For example, if your website is about online gaming, join the gaming forums and become a part of the community there. Then you can promote your website in your signature. As long as you share good information (don't just spam), people will click your signature link.

3.) SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This is how your site will naturally be found in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. You can learn the basics of SEO from reading in the section of this forum or check out SEO blogs such as SearchEngineLand.Com.

They actually have a basic guide at: http://searchengineland.com/guide/what-is-seo

On the other hand, you don't have to do SEO yourself. If you have money to invest, you can hire professionals to do this for you. Even if you choose to hire someone, it still helps for you to have basic knowledge of SEO because that will help you hire the right person.

4.) Pay-Per-Click Advertising - Each of the search engines, as well as Facebook, have their own paid advertising programs. You can do a Google search to learn more about Pay-Per-Click. Honestly, this is not something I would recommend for beginners. It really depends on what type of website you have. If you don't know what you are doing, you can lose a ton of money from this.

There are tons of other ways to promote, but I'll leave room for other people to chime in :)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

What is the best way to promote Amazon products?

I just signed up to become an affiliate at Amazon and want to know what is the best way to promote their products?
There are two ways.

1# First way is free and involves starting a FB fanpage and writing "notes". Tyoe notes in the Facebook search bar or download the free app and then start doing your research for available Amaon products to promote. The FB notes allow conten, images and basic HTML, so you can copy and paste your affiliate links and wrap them around your images and keyword links. Google and the main search engines index these pages and they are high ranked, but they can take up to six weeks to be indexed.

2# Start a review site or blog and look for Amazon product to promote in a niche you're familiar with. Find Amazon products which are selling, have good recent feedback and which have low competition or even limited data using the free Google keyword tool. Stick to this kind of formula and remeber the keywords of the products in your title and as your link.

If you find a formula that works then, it's always best to stick with it and especially if it serves you well.

All the best

Mark :)
