Promos and Contests Site banned from adsense?

I have question to all

Will you get banned from adsense if you use promotional offers contests from different brands?

I know a site that was using adsense before but was banned because i think he uses promos and contest like what i said..now he is using nuffnang...

I also planned to make a showbiz blog..but also worried about banned from adsense when I'm copying some images...
from google and pics of hollywood stars . isn't it copyright??.. I also know a showbiz blog that i think was banned by google
