Nancy Pelosi: If John Boehner Were A Woman, People Would Call Him 'The Weakest Speaker In History'

WASHINGTON -- Not only is House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) a weak leader, but if he were a woman, people would be calling him "the weakest speaker in history," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Monday.

During an interview on MSNBC's "All In With Chris Hayes," Pelosi, who served as House speaker for four years before Boehner took over, was asked point-blank if she thinks Boehner is a weak speaker.

"I will say this about John Boehner, and I have a good relationship" with him, Pelosi said. "If he were a woman, they'd be calling him the weakest speaker in history."

She said Boehner deserves that title because House Republican leaders "have never been able to pass anything without our coming to the rescue." The one exception to that rule, she said, is the GOP's "nasty" and "unprincipled" budgets.

"You know what, if a woman was speaker and nothing was happening in this way, they'd say, 'Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh,'" Pelosi said. "I'm just getting a little, shall we say, tired of some of the ways they take a pass on some and not on others. We get criticized for accomplishing things. They don't get criticized for not accomplishing things."

A request for comment from Boehner's office was not immediately returned.

It's true that Boehner has relied on Democrats to pass nearly all major bills out of the House this year. There are nine enacted bills and joint resolutions so far in this session of Congress. Of those, Boehner violated the so-called Hastert Rule -- an informal requirement that a majority of the majority supports a bill in order to bring it to a vote -- four times to get them passed. Those bills include the fiscal cliff deal, Hurricane Sandy aid, the Violence Against Women Act reauthorization bill and a bill relating to federal acquisition of historic sites.

Would you use this template for your WordPress Website?

I'm looking to submit this theme to ThemeForest:

Omicron - http://omicron.vetothemes.com/

I've submitted it once, and it was turned down. Since then I've been tweaking the design, as I've been told the initial design was a little outdated. I am quite new to designing websites, so any help is much appreciated.

Also, the template is predominantly for photographers/artists to use to display their work, hence the imagery on the site.

Thank you :)

What would happen if Google disappear tomorrow from internet?

Shortly, most of the web space will get better as user experience thanks to the better competition, which is lacking now.

Longer....
Also, in regard of search results, these will get better as the other search engines are currently not in a position where they can manipulate their results in order to spam with ads, along with the so called quality results (empty pages and expired domains) as google does.

I do not see it disappearing soon, but it is up to the visitors after all, not webmasters...we will survive way away after them and without them.
I believe Adsense is the first one to die. More and more people are becoming ad-blind and if I wasn't so lazy I would have removed these from my sites already...

Emma Watson On '50 Shades' Rumor: 'Who Here Actually Thinks I Would Do 50 Shades Of Grey As A Movie?'

All hail Emma Watson. The erstwhile Hermione Granger took to Twitter on Saturday night to dispel any notion that she might star in the upcoming adaptation of the S&M novel "Fifty Shades Of Grey," and did it with style:

Emma Watson Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life.

Emma Watson Good. Well that's that sorted then.

Smiley face emoticon, Indeed. The latest rumor about Watson playing Anastasia Steele in the big screen take on E L James' popular novel trilogy sprouted up thanks to a Twitter account with possible ties to the hacker-activist group Anonymous. The Twitter handle posted documents stolen from German film studio Constanin that mentioned the 22-year-old actress as possible star. (Gossip Cop debunked that claim, noting that Watson is only on the producers' wish list.)

This isn't the first time Watson has been rumored for "Fifty Shades of Grey." The idea that she could star in the film first began circulating last summer, but Watson was quick to shoot the reports down.

"I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing," Watson told EW.com in July of 2012. "There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' –- I never even saw a script!"

For now, "Fifty Shades of Grey" remains without a leading actor, actress or director. Universal and Focus Features hope to release the film during the summer of 2014, however, so expect some movement on those fronts soon. For what it's worth, screenwriter Kelly Marcel said earlier this year that she felt the film would receive an NC-17 rating.

Copper hair, strong build, steely gray eyes ... Armie Hammer would make the perfect Christian Grey. He's 25, just the right age to pull off 27-year-old Grey's air of success and boyish charm, and he can go from serious and sexy smirk in a second.
Backups: Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Henry Cavill

Olsen breakout role in "Martha Marcy May Marlene" proved she can play frightened and confused like a pro. But it's her piercing blue eyes that seal the deal -- darken her hair a few shades, and she is not-so-innocent recent college grad Ana.
Backups: Dakota Fanning, Saoirse Ronan, Alexis Bledel, Emma Stone

Ana's inquisitive roommate Kate has strawberry blonde hair and a fierce attitude. Wood often plays older than her 24 years, but would make a believable mature recent college grad with sex appeal.
Backups: Carey Mulligan, Mia Wasikowska, Blake Lively, Ari Graynor

Young photographer and college student Jose adores Ana and desperately wants to be more than just friends, but the arrival of Christian Grey solidifies his place as a pal. "The Vampire Diaries'" Trevino has proven he can play tortured, and his good looks make him a nice threat for Mr. Grey.
Backups: Taylor Lautner, Penn Badgley, Mark Salling

Ana's stepdad Ray is ex-military and likes the simpler things in life, like baseball and fishing, but he's got a soft spot for his little girl. Ray's role isn't huge, but Keaton could easily pull off playing the reserved, protective pop.
Backups: Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Ana's mom Carla is a hopeless romantic, but also fairly unlucky in love. Ray was her second husband who Ana stayed to live with when she ran off with #3. Now on #4, she's hoping her daughter won't make the same mistakes.
Backups: Patricia Clarkson, Marcia Gay Harden, Teri Hatcher

Jose's dad and Ana's dad Ray were old army buddies, reunited when their kids became friends at college. Jose Sr. also desperately wants Ana and his son to get together, and Smits can play convincing in his sleep.
Backups: Danny Trejo, Edward James Olmos

Christian's mother Grace -- a pediatrician who adopted him at the age of 4 -- is smart, sweet and very high society. Sullivan's poise would be perfect, but it's her ability to play sadness and fierce maternal instincts that would come in handy.
Backups: Susan Sarandon, Joan Allen

Carrick is a successful lawyer and businessman who makes his family's best interests a top priority. He's soft spoken, but still has presence -- Skarsgard's soulful eyes would definitely come in handy for the more emotional moments.
Backups: Harrison Ford, Victor Garber

Christian's older adopted brother, Elliot, is a good time guy and a real ladies man -- Franco could pull off both -- who's always giving his little brother a hard time for his single status ... until Christian meets Ana.
Backups: James Marsden, Zach Gilford

Christian's little sister Mia has always been the only woman who can give him a hard time and get away with it. Lucy Hale could play the energetic brunette in a second.
Backups: Leighton Meester, Emmy Rossum, Nina Dobrev

Christian Grey's most trusted security man, Taylor is ex-FBI and the strong, silent type ... but he reserves a smile here and there for Ana.
Backups: David Morse, Bruce Willis

Christian's housekeeper Mrs. Jones is also a mother figure of sorts, keeping his swanky penthouse home tidy, cooking all meals and keeping the refrigerator stocked with his favorites.
Backups: Cybill Shepherd, Jane Seymour, Julie Andrews

Christian's Mrs. Robinson -- the woman who welcomed him into the kinky world of BDSM at a very young age -- needs to be a predator, but still sexy in her older age. Sharon Stone fits the bill.
Backups: Ellen Barkin, Meg Ryan, Morgan Fairchild

Dr. Flynn is the voice of reason in Christian's life, and they have more than just a therapist-patient relationship. Flynn is a confidant and charming in his own right.
Backups: Clive Owen, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, Robert Downey Jr.

If You Lost Everything Today, Where Would You Start First?

TEN STEP PROCESS IF YOU'RE STARTING FROM SCRATCH

1- I would borrow $20 from any of my friends. if don't have friends then I'll write 10 articles on some hot topic and sell each article for minimum of $2 here at DP, and make $20.

2- Then I'll buy a domain name plus hosting.

3- Get an autoresponder account like free account at GetResponse, or $1 trial of aweber

4- Search on Google for a free PLR ebook related to my niche e.g internet marketing, and download it.

5- Then I'll download the free mind mapping software, and make a mind map of the important points given in that ebook.

6- Then I'll download the free CamStudio software and make a 15-30 minutes movie by explaining the mindmap.

7- Then I'll extract the audio from the video file in mp3 format.

8- Then I'll transcribe the audio file and make a pdf report.

9- Then search for free online ecover making sites and make ecover for the pdf report, dvd cover for the video and cd cover for the audio.

10- I'll install the wordpress on my domain and make a squeeze page and download page, and upload everything on to my site, and start promoting it in the forums related to my niche and build a list of at least 200-300 subscribers.

It'll only take you 3-4 days to accomplish everything as laid down in the above 10 steps. Later on when you have a 200-300 subscriber list you can do adswaps to grow your list and promote affiliate products or make your own product and sell to that list.

So this is the process i'll do if i lost everything and if i have to start from scratch.

Torii Hunter, Detroit Tigers Right Fielder, Says Gay Teammate Would Make Him 'Uncomfortable'

A number of professional male athletes have come forward on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights in recent months, but it seems not everyone is comfortable with the idea of playing alongside a gay teammate.

Detroit Tigers right fielder Torri Hunter is making headlines for telling the Los Angeles Times he believes an out teammate would make him "uncomfortable."

"For me, as a Christian…I will be uncomfortable because in all my teachings and all my learning, biblically, it's not right," the former Angels outfielder told the publication. "It will be difficult and uncomfortable."

It isn't the first time the 37-year-old's remarks have sparked controversy. In 2010, he reportedly referred to dark-skinned Latino baseball players as "impostors" in a USA Today interview while discussing the changing demographics in baseball.

"People see dark faces out there, and the perception is that they're African-American. They're not us. They're impostors," he told Bob Nightengale. He went on to note, "As African-American players, we have a theory that baseball can go get an imitator and pass them off as us...It's like, 'Why should I get this kid from the South Side of Chicago and have Scott Boras represent him and pay him $5 million when you can get a Dominican guy for a bag of chips?'"

On the flip side, have a look at our slideshow of straight professional athletes who’ve lent support to the LGBT community:
